Oyster Perpetual

Freedom of movement

The Oyster Perpetual is a reference in the watchmaking world. Developed in 1931, it was Rolex’s first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch.

With its sleek aesthetic, it graces the wrists of those who see the world as a realm of boundless opportunities. The gateway to the world of Rolex, the Oyster Perpetual carries the brand’s founding legacy while making way for endless future possibilities.

A watch that will never fail you.

A vision brought to life

The direct descendant of the original Oyster, the Oyster Perpetual brings together three of Rolex’s founding watchmaking accomplishments: the chronometric certification awarded to a wristwatch for the first time in 1910, the waterproofness of the Oyster watch unveiled in 1926 and the self-winding movement via Perpetual rotor patented in 1931. The Oyster Perpetual continues to embody the founding vision of Hans Wilsdorf and is considered today the quintessence of Rolex excellence.

The purest expression of watchmaking according to Rolex.

The ultimate classic

The understated, timeless aesthetic of the Oyster Perpetual gives it a special place among Rolex watches. Since 2007, it has featured the elements that distinguish all the references within the range today: polished, domed bezel and full satin-finishing on the top of the middle case and bracelet. With its three central hands and hour markers, it boasts a sleek design that focuses on the essential. Manufactured exclusively in Oystersteel, the Oyster Perpetual continues to assert itself as a symbol of universal and classic style. An ever-evolving model, enriched by a variety of dials, constantly reinterpreted with great chromatic creativity.

A watch of reference, with many faces.

A watch of one’s own

The only Rolex model available in five different diameters – 28, 31, 34, 36 and 41 mm – the Oyster Perpetual adapts to the diversity of its wearers and features a wide range of dials.

In 2025, the Oyster Perpetual range underwent several changes. The Oyster Perpetual 41, in particular, features a slimmer clasp and a subtly redesigned case for even more elegance.

As for the lacquered dials, they boast two new colours: med blue and black. They join the existing colours of candy pink, green and turquoise blue. Three other colours – beige, lavender and pistachio – are also being introduced. Soft, fresh and light, they are characterized by their never-before-seen matt finish. A range of harmonious faces to suit any wearer.

A universal watch, the ultimate everyday companion.
