Pushing boundaries

From her early days in karting to becoming a three-time champion in the all-women W Series, Jamie Chadwick’s journey exemplifies the changing landscape of racing and the increasing opportunities for women in a traditionally male-dominated sport.

An inspiration for young women

British racing driver Jamie Chadwick embarked on her motor sport journey at a young age, quickly rising through the ranks of junior racing series.

Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she became the first woman and youngest driver to win a British GT Championship. Three years later she was the first woman to win a British Formula 3® race. Chadwick’s career continued to flourish with her historic victories in the all-women W Series, of which she was crowned champion in its three editions (2019, 2021 and 2022).

Chadwick spent two seasons driving for Andretti Global in Indy NXT – the feeder series to IndyCar in North America – becoming the first woman in 13 years to race full-time in the championship. In June 2024, she became the first woman in its history to claim a road course pole position and road course win, achieving the feat at Road America in Wisconsin. In 2025, Chadwick returns to sportscar racing with the IDEC Sport LMP2 team contesting the European Le Mans Series. She last completed a full season in the racing category in 2015.

Beyond her on-track success, Chadwick is actively working to create pathways for more women in motor sport. Her initiatives, including a karting programme for young girls that incorporates The Jamie Chadwick Series of races, demonstrate her commitment to fostering a more inclusive racing environment.

Jamie Chadwick became a Rolex Testimonee in 2022.
