Goodwood Revival Our duty to the next generations
Every year since 1997, in the county of West Sussex to the south of London, the Goodwood Revival sustains the flame of automotive tradition. The event is composed of 16 races, held over three days. Each features sports cars built between 1930 and 1966. Some 300 cars and motorcycles, all emblematic of their time, compete in age and design categories. Rolex Testimonees Sir Jackie Stewart, Tom Kristensen and Jenson Button regularly take part, purely for the pleasure of motor racing and their passion for classic cars.
Rolex has been the event’s Official Timekeeper since 2004, and also supports the venerable Drivers’ Club at the heart of the three-day festivities.
Goodwood Revival gives us the opportunity to look back and celebrate the heritage of motor sport as well as its ongoing influence on society.
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® and the world of motor sport have been inextricably linked for more than 70 years. The competition was first held in 1950 in conjunction with the Pebble Beach Road Races, which ran through 1956. In 1998, the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance® presented by Rolex was founded as a celebration of the historic Road Races and a complement to the Concours d’Elegance®.
The Concours brings a selection of the most beautiful cars at the event to the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links®, between The Lodge at Pebble Beach and the Pacific Ocean, overlooking California’s Carmel Bay.
Another highlight of this prestigious gathering is the Tour, which celebrates automotive elegance in motion with a procession of classic cars participating in the event along a scenic route on Highway 1.
