In 2020, she triumphed at Roland-Garros to become the first Polish player to win a Grand Slam® singles title. Her dynamic playing style and strategic acumen have garnered her international acclaim.

From emerging talent to topping the world rankings

Carving her path to success, Iga Świątek began her tennis journey in Poland’s capital Warsaw, where her early talent shone brightly.

She made waves on the junior circuit, in 2018 claiming the Wimbledon junior singles title, the girls doubles crown at Roland-Garros and doubles gold at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. Her transition to the professional circuit was seamless, highlighted by her historic victory at Roland-Garros two years later, becoming the youngest singles champion since 2005.

Świątek has gone on to claim multiple Grand Slam® singles titles, winning Roland-Garros again in 2022, 2023 and 2024 as well as the US Open in 2022. Her powerful style and mental fortitude have been key to her success.
