Bjørn’s journey in golf began in his native Denmark, where he quickly rose through the game’s ranks, turning professional in 1993.

He secured his first DP World Tour victory in 1996 and continued to build an impressive career, one in which he amassed 15 tour wins. Bjørn’s strong performances in major championships, including runner-up finishes at The Open and the PGA Championship, have underscored his talent and competitive spirit. As the first Danish golfer to compete in The Ryder Cup, Bjørn has played a pivotal role in promoting golf in his home country.

His achievements, during a career in which he evolved from Challenge Tour player to DP World Tour mainstay and then Ryder Cup captain, have paved the way for future generations of golfers, particularly in Denmark and throughout Europe.
