Joaquín Niemann is a Chilean golfer known for his impressive achievements on the PGA TOUR® and for being part of Rolex’s “New Guard” of aspiring younger players.

He made history as the first Chilean to win a PGA TOUR® event in 2019 and added a second title with victory at the prestigious Genesis Invitational in 2022.

Seamless transition to professional ranks

Born in Chile, Joaquín Niemann displayed exceptional talent from a young age, rising through the ranks as one of the top amateur golfers in the world.

He topped the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 44 weeks from May 2017 to April 2018 and won the Latin America Amateur Championship. Turning professional in 2018, Niemann made an immediate impact on the PGA TOUR®, achieving top 10 finishes at four of his first eight tournaments. He captured his first title at the 2019 A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, becoming the first player from his country to win on the tour. The biggest triumph of his career came with his second PGA TOUR® victory, at the 2022 Genesis Invitational at Riviera, a result that further cemented his status among golf’s elite. The following year, he claimed a first victory on the DP World Tour when he was victorious at the ISPS Handa Australian Open.
