Breakthrough year

In 2025, Bernet captured the boys’ singles title at the Australian Open and reached the top of the ITF junior rankings at the end of March. That same year, he broke into the top 500 of the ATP singles rankings for the first time. His commitment to developing his game, along with his mental resilience and sportsmanship, mark him as a player with an exciting future.

Family ties

Born in Basel in 2007, Bernet was introduced to tennis at age four by his older brother. Bernet honed his craft at TC Old Boys, a club with deep family ties. In 2022, he moved to Biel to train at the Swiss National Tennis Center.

Among his milestones, in 2025, he became the first Swiss player to capture an Australian Open junior singles title and the sixth player from his country to win a junior singles title at any of the four Grand Slam® tournaments.
