Rose Zhang has quickly established herself as a formidable presence in women’s golf, showcasing extraordinary skill and determination along the way.

A standout on the amateur circuit, she topped the World Amateur Golf Ranking for a record 141 weeks. Since turning professional in 2023, Zhang has made significant strides on the LPGA Tour, demonstrating her talent against some of the world’s best players.

From record-breaking amateur to professional ranks

Rose Zhang enjoyed an extraordinary amateur career. In 2020, she won the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.

Further success came when she won the NCAA Division 1 Championship while at Stanford University, and securing two NCAA Women’s Golf Individual titles, in 2022 and 2023. She also received back-to-back ANNIKA Awards for being the top female amateur golfer in those years.

In 2023, Zhang claimed victory at the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur, confirming her rising status in the sport. She made a seamless transition to professional golf, becoming the first player since 1951 to win on her LPGA debut when she triumphed at the Mizuho Americas Open.

Zhang became a Rolex Testimonee in 2023.
