Mirra Andreeva

Future looks bright

Mirra Andreeva has quickly gained the attention of the tennis world with her outstanding skills and potential for greatness.

As a young player making her mark on the professional circuit, Andreeva has shown remarkable determination, earning the admiration of fans and fellow players alike. Her journey in the sport is just beginning but her early achievements herald a bright future.

Natural ability

Mirra Andreeva has rapidly emerged as one of the most promising young talents in world tennis.

Her tennis journey began when she started playing at age 6 and quickly revealed her exceptional natural ability. Andreeva first came to notice in 2019 when she won the girls 12-and-under division at the prestigious youth tournament, the Junior Orange Bowl, in Florida. She made her WTA Tour debut in 2022 aged 15, and the following year, reached the fourth round of the Madrid Open as a wildcard entry, defeating several top-50 players en route. Weeks later, Andreeva came through qualifying to advance to the third round on her Grand Slam® debut at Roland-Garros, making her the youngest player to reach that milestone in the French capital since 2005. She followed that up with a run to the fourth round at The Championships, Wimbledon.

In February 2025, Andreeva broke through to win a maiden WTA 1000 title in Dubai and in the process become the youngest winner of a tournament at that level, aged 17 years and 299 days. She immediately followed up in impressive fashion by beating the World No. 1 and No. 2 players to claim the next WTA 1000 title, at Indian Wells. That excellent run of form enabled her to reach a career-high ranking of World No. 5 in July of that year.

Andreeva’s playing style is characterized by powerful groundstrokes and remarkable mental fortitude. Known for her composed demeanour and ambitious goals, Andreeva has publicly stated her aim to become World No. 1 and win all four Grand Slam® tournaments.

Mirra Andreeva became a Rolex Testimonee in 2025.
