Stéfanos Tsitsipás, a Greek tennis sensation, has established himself among the top echelon of competitors on the ATP tour, capturing the attention of tennis fans with his impressive performances and distinctive style.
Known for his aggressive baseline play and versatility, Tsitsipás has claimed multiple ATP titles and made deep runs at Grand Slam® tournaments.
From promising junior to ATP star
Stéfanos Tsitsipás’s tennis journey began in Athens, Greece, where he honed his skills under the guidance of his tennis coach father.
As a junior, he showcased his potential by reaching the top of the ITF junior rankings. His transition to the professional circuit was swift, with a significant breakthrough coming in 2018 when he reached the final of the Canadian Open presented by Rogers, defeating several top-10 players along the way. He finished that year by winning the Next Gen ATP Finals.
Tsitsipás carried that momentum into the following year as he made his first deep run in a Grand Slam® event, reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open, and signed off on that season by winning the Nitto ATP Finals. Since then, he has continued to excel, reaching two Grand Slam® finals – at Roland-Garros in 2021 and the Australian Open two years later. He has also found success on clay, winning the prestigious Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters in 2021, 2022 and 2024.
