Calibre 7190
Calibre 7190, visible through the transparent case back, reveals harmonious aesthetics: a cut-out oscillating weight in yellow gold, bridges decorated with Rolex Côtes de Genève, and a subtle interplay of finishings.
Developed and produced entirely in-house, this movement is an evolution of the groundbreaking 7135 calibre, introduced last year at the launch of the Land-Dweller. Like its counterpart, calibre 7190 beats at the high frequency of 5 hertz. It, too, is equipped with the Syloxi hairspring in silicon and a ceramic balance staff. It, too, incorporates the Dynapulse escapement, a revolutionary device also made of silicon. With its excellent resistance to strong magnetic fields, calibre 7190 delivers outstanding performance, particularly in terms of precision, power reserve, convenience and reliability.
The movement also inaugurates the Haplos system. This patented system enables the movement to differentiate between 30-day and 31-day months. It consists of just two components coupled to the date mechanism – an annual lever and an additional carrier finger.
