Stellar performances
Harry Charles’ talent became evident early on, leading to his joining the Young Riders Academy, supported by Rolex, in 2018.
For the previous three years, he had dominated the FEI Jumping European Championship for Young Riders, securing an impressive six medals. His transition to senior competition was marked by a stellar performance at the 2018 CHIO Aachen, signalling his arrival on the international stage. He made his debut for Great Britain that year at the Nations Cup in Dijon, France.
His career reached new heights at the London International Horse Show in December 2021 when, in the space of 24 hours, he won two five-star competitions, claiming an outstanding maiden World Cup victory and then his first Grand Prix triumph.
Earlier that year, he made his Olympic debut in Tokyo, qualifying for the individual final. His meteoric rise continued in 2022 as he contributed to Great Britain’s bronze medal at the FEI Jumping World Championships in Denmark. In 2024, now an established member of the Great Britain outfit, he won a team gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, and the following year, helped his country to victory at the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final in Barcelona.
Harry Charles became a Rolex Testimonee in 2019, the youngest in equestrianism.
