Scott Brash

Scott Brash

Show jumping sensation

Scott Brash is a celebrated British equestrian, feted for being the first rider to have claimed the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, the sport’s biggest challenge and ultimate prize.

Scott Brash trophy

Winning the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping was an incredible moment in my career. I can hardly describe my feelings and emotions when I held the trophy in my hands.

A champion in the arena

Scott Brash is a leading figure in international show jumping.

Known for his precision, strategic acumen, and competitive spirit, Brash has achieved numerous victories and accolades, confirming his status as a first-rate competitor in the equestrian world.

An impressive trajectory

Scott Brash’s journey in equestrian sports began when he started riding at age seven.

By the time he was 10, he was competing in British show jumping events through The Pony Club. Under the guidance of excellent trainers, Brash honed his skills and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually achieving the World No. 1 ranking. His career took off in partnership with legendary horse Hello Sanctos, with whom he achieved numerous victories, including team gold at the 2012 London Olympics.

In 2015, Brash became the first – and so far only – rider to win the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. This feat requires a rider to win, consecutively, the Grand Prix at three of the four Majors – The Dutch Masters, the CHIO Aachen, the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament and the CHI Geneva. Riding Hello Sanctos, Brash captured the Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva in late 2014 followed by the Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen and the CPKC ‘International’ Grand Prix, presented by Rolex, at Spruce Meadows. This remarkable achievement cemented his place in equestrian history.

Brash has a number of other impressive victories to his name. He captured the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in Geneva in 2014, just days before embarking on the journey that culminated in him achieving the most prestigious prize in show jumping. In 2016, he successfully defended his title in the CPKC ‘International’ Grand Prix, presented by Rolex. In 2025, he won that prestigious event for a third time, in the process, joining fellow Testimonee Martin Fuchs as the only riders to have won five Majors since the inception of the Rolex Grand Slam in 2013. Less than two months earlier he had confirmed his return to top form by taking individual silver at the FEI Jumping European Championship.

After his Olympic team success in London, Brash continued to ride with distinction on the representative stage. In 2013, he helped Great Britain to a European Championship team title. Two years later, Brash and Hello Sanctos were welcomed into the British Horse Society’s Hall of Fame, honouring their impact on the sport. In 2022, Brash and fellow Rolex Testimonee Harry Charles were part of the team that claimed the bronze medal at the FEI World Championships. At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Brash played a crucial role in securing team gold, delivering a near perfect performance under immense pressure as the anchor rider on Hello Jefferson. The following year he clinched victory for Great Britain at the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final in Barcelona.

Scott Brash became a Rolex Testimonee in 2015.
