More than a colour – an effect. The Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 is unveiled in 18 ct Jubilee Gold, a brand-new alloy, which glows with a gentle shine.
The prestige of this watch is further elevated by the choice of bright green aventurine for its dial, whose hue complements the gilded effect of the case and bracelet.
Conceived, developed and produced in the brand’s workshops, 18 ct Jubilee Gold illustrates the innovation capability of Rolex and its technical mastery in the field of precious metals. This expertise enables the brand to guarantee exceptional-quality materials and perfectly consistent colour across all case and bracelet components. Rolex exclusively uses 18 ct gold, a princely alloy composed of 750‰ (thousandths) of pure gold, plus exactly the right mixture of different metals. According to the proportions of copper and other elements added, different types of gold can be obtained. These include yellow gold, white gold and two alloys developed by Rolex and exclusive to the brand: Jubilee Gold and Everose gold.
With its new watches, Rolex is celebrating a century of accomplishments and shaping the watchmaking emotions of tomorrow.
