A career of determination and influence
Tim Henman began playing tennis at a young age, quickly rising through the ranks to become one of Britain’s top players.
He turned professional in 1993 and soon made his mark on the ATP Tour. Henman reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon four times – becoming the first British player to do so since the 1970s – and also reached the last four at Roland-Garros and the US Open. He achieved his highest career ranking of World No. 4 in 2002. The Englishman’s influence extended beyond his on-court achievements; he played a pivotal role in the resurgence of British tennis, paving the way for future generations. Today he serves as a board member of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, the body responsible for conducting The Championships, Wimbledon.
