Conceived by Roger Federer to pay tribute to fellow tennis luminary Rod Laver, the Laver Cup has established itself as a world-class competition since its inaugural edition in 2017. Held every year in September, it pits the sport’s leading men against each other in a two-team contest: Europe versus the rest of the world. For three days of intense competition, players contest singles and doubles matches under the guidance of the legendary champions who inspired them. Central to the tournament’s ethos is Rod Laver, one of the greatest tennis figures of all time.

Since 1900, the Davis Cup has given the world’s best men’s players the opportunity to raise the bar, not just for themselves, but also for their country. More than 120 nations take part in the event, carrying on a centuries-old tradition. Rolex has supported this historic international competition since 2007. At the end of the season, the Davis Cup Final 8 is contested by the seven teams that have advanced from the qualifying rounds and the host nation.
