Refined aesthetics. Ingenious mechanics. With its complete annual calendar and moonphase display, the Perpetual Padellone offers a window onto the night sky.
A model imbued with elegance, the Perpetual Padellone reinvents the dialogue between precision and poetry. While its design and functions pay homage to watchmaking tradition, it delivers unparalleled performance thanks to pioneering technical innovations. Its movement, which beats at a frequency of 5 hertz, is the subject of 30 patent applications, two of which are exclusive to the watch.
Two technical features of the Perpetual Padellone’s complete calendar stand out. Firstly, it is annual: thanks to the patented Haplos system, the mechanism differentiates between 30-day and 31-day months. This means that it requires only one adjustment a year, when February turns to March. Secondly, it is instantaneous: at midnight, the day, date and month change simultaneously in a fraction of a second, ensuring perfect alignment of the calendar markers – a feature for which a patent application has also been filed. The day and the month, written in English, appear in two apertures at 12 o’clock, while a blue hand with a crescent moon at its tip points to the date set out around the dial circumference.
