Mentoring the next generation

A unique approach to private mentoring

With the Rolex mentoring programme, the brand is committed to inspiring transmission from generation to generation and encouraging dialogue between global cultures. In the fields of architecture, the visual arts, cinema, dance, literature, music and theatre, Rolex gives promising young artists the opportunity to learn, create and mature under the tutelage of the masters in their discipline. Together, they forge a unique partnership with a global outlook. Spanning the generations, it transcends divides and opens up new possibilities for all forms of artistic expression.

In keeping with its tradition of supporting individual excellence, Rolex gives emerging artists time to learn, create and grow.

Revitalizing mentorship

Rolex’s vision for revitalizing mentorship in the arts is in keeping with its tradition of supporting individual excellence. Protégés in the programme are granted unparalleled access to some of the greatest artists in the world, who welcome the opportunity to share wisdom, experience and ideas.

Revitalizing mentorship

The gift of time

Over the past two decades, Rolex has paired mentors and protégés in architecture, dance, film, literature, music, theatre and visual arts. In 2020, an Open Category covering interdisciplinary pursuits was added. The programme has evolved into an enriching dialogue between artists of different generations, cultures and disciplines. One of its greatest achievements is the creation of an international community of artists and senior arts administrators who nominate mentors and protégés that spans 120 countries.
