The PGA Championship

World of Rolex

The PGA Championship stands out among the men’s four Majors as the only one exclusively for professionals.

By bringing together the strongest field, it ensures the highest level of competition. Renowned for its innovation and fan-friendly atmosphere, the tournament inspires players to constantly push back their limits while placing maturity and experience at a premium. Rolex Testimonees Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tiger Woods, Martin Kaymer, Jason Day, Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka are among the champions whose names are inscribed on the Wanamaker Trophy, awarded to the winner of the event ever since its inaugural edition in 1916.

  • Brooks Koepka
By winning the PGA Championship in 2019, Brooks Koepka earned a special place in golf history as the first player to successfully defend two Majors, having won the same tournament a year earlier as well as back-to-back U.S. Open titles in 2017 and 2018.

  • Justin Thomas
When he won the 2017 PGA Championship, Justin Thomas became only the fourth golfer to win a Major before his 25th birthday. It was a sign of things to come; few others on the PGA TOUR® have achieved such rapid success.

  • Jon Rahm
With a pair of top-10 finishes at the PGA Championship, Jon Rahm is a player to be reckoned with at the second men’s Major of the season. In 2021, the Spaniard broke through to win the U.S. Open, the biggest victory of his career to date.

  • Jason Day
Jason Day won the 2015 PGA Championship in memorable fashion by becoming the first player in history to finish on 20 under par at a Major.

  • Martin Kaymer
Martin Kaymer’s triumph at the 2010 PGA Championship heralded a golden period in his illustrious career. The German helped Europe claim victory over the United States on his Ryder Cup debut later that year, and he assumed the No. 1 spot on the Official World Golf Ranking in early 2011.

The Day-Date 40

Available only in 18 kt gold or 950 platinum, it was the first wristwatch to display the date and day of the week spelt out in full in a window on the dial. With the President bracelet, created especially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of eminent figures; like the elite golfers invited to compete at the PGA Championship, it is a leader in its field.
