The U.S. Open is the oldest golf Major played in the United States. Established in 1895 at the Newport Golf Club in Rhode Island, it is held in May or June each year on a different course selected from the most iconic in the country. This tournament is open to all – experienced players and amateurs, legends of the game and newcomers alike. Regardless of their status, all who compete are given the same opportunity.
A challenge of the highest order year in year out
Organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA), it is the third men’s Major of the season and always presents a highly challenging course layout for those competing. Rolex has been the Official Timekeeper of the U.S. Open since 1980.
